The lotus is viewed as a symbol of peace, purity and spiritual awakening. One of my favorite quotes is by Zen Buddhist teacher Thich Nhat Hanh who said “No mud, no lotus.” It’s a gentle reminder that from extreme challenges rise extraordinary beauty.

Handmade with a Czech glass bead center stone, 8 mm round yellow calcite stones and clear glass accent beads.

I treated one of my best friends to a weekend in Williamsburg (William + Mary is our alma mater) for her 50th birthday. We got massages, pedicures, had Cheese Shop for lunch and visited campus.
